Don’t Forget Universal Studios on your Singapore Holiday

The glittering island nation of Singapore has added another feather to its cap with the opening of the Universal Studios, which is the fourth of its kind in the world. A stupefying ceremony was held to celebrate its opening for the public. As part pf the opening ceremony, as many as 18 Chinese lions charged through the entrance at 8:08 a.m. The chosen time has a specific connotation as Singapore’s mostly ethnic Chinese population believes the number 8 to be highly auspicious. A lion dancing troupe accompanied by stunningly beautiful actresses dressed up in the garb of legends like Marilyn Monroe and Betty Boop glided along the Hollywood Boulevard.

The Hollywood Boulevard is among the seven thematic zones in this 20 acre dream land promising unlimited entertainment. With this new attraction, holidays to Singapore would definitely not be the same again. In fact, the park management has an aggressive aim of attracting 4.5 million visitors right in the first year. The next three years would see the addition of further rides to make sure that the park does not lose its novelty. This new attraction does show promise to become a major hit as it has taken it cues from China’s Disney Land and would not repeat the same mistakes.
